This place is located near the Dhenkanal district. At that time there was a king in Dhenkanal who was a very kind-hearted fellow but his younger brother was a cruel human. One day the king had to go foreign for some work and his younger thought to build a palace called Jatan Nagar. 

A lot of people from all around the village of Dhenkanal district are forced to work as slaves and people have seen elephants crying while working. King’s younger brother killed many people during that time at this palace. One day king’s family members went to that palace to stay but they disappeared and till now no one can go to that palace after sunset.
So after this incident, this palace is called a haunted place.
